On The Grind - San Marcos

As a San Marcos local and coffee connoisseur, I can tell you that On the Grind in San Marcos is the most consistent, fastest serviced, tastiest menu having, and friendliest coffee/beverage spot. The staff is excellent and is always super friendly. Whether you’re in a rush or just needing a pick me up, these guys will SERVE. Also the punchcards are such a nice service for those that frequent them! The drinks are amazing and always high quality, and I know I’ll sound like a broken record here but seriously they’re the most consistent coffee shop in San Marcos and I WILL die on that hill. Go treat yourself and get some On the Grind. Thank me later.

My little boy wasn’t feeling good and one of the only things he wanted to eat/drink was the kids strawberry smoothie here. There were 4 cars in front of us and we still go our drinks within 5 minutes or less of ordering! The woman taking our order was super sweet and talking to my kids. The gentleman who gave us the drinks had a pink straw and a green straw since I had my girl with me too. When someone takes time for my kids I’m always going to want to bring them back! Thanks for being so sweet y’all! And for making a smoothie my kid will actually drink.

I love on the grind!!! The staff is always happy & helpful! I have never received a drink I didn’t love. The stamp card is a great incentive to bring you back & I look forward to when I earn that free drink. Truly a new San Marcos staple.

Literally so fast! All their menu items are delicious. If you can’t decide, ask one of the fantastic peeps that work there and they will make you something special you are guaranteed to enjoy! Never had a bad experience here. I mean look at this pic of the heavens opening up right behind the OTG. It speaks for itself really. Do yourself a favor and stop by here to grab a drink before you go to work or run your errands, or hit up the river, or do literally anything okay? If you don’t, you’re doing a disservice to yourself.

I absolutely love On the Grind! The staff is always so friendly and sweet — they truly make you feel welcome every time. The vibe is positive, the drinks are always on point, and the service is fast. It’s one of my favorite spots to stop by, whether I need a pick-me-up or just want a good coffee with great energy. Highly recommend!

This coffee shop is, without a doubt, the best! The staff consistently makes me feel valued, which is why I keep coming back. They remember my usual order, as well as my family, and they treat me like a person rather than just another order. The drink menu is always updated with fun new options, while still offering all the classic favorites. Since this shop opened, it has been my one and only go-to coffee spot. I'm completely hooked and can't imagine going anywhere else. If you're not here yet get here!!

Colby and the team are AMAZING in San Marcos. I hope he never leaves or gets moved! He definitely puts the happy in your experience and he gets my drink ready the right way every time and I have a unique order. Everyone rings it up right but not all them actually add the extra sweet (coconut) like I ask. Most do, 2 don’t and I have to remind them. But I have no problems when Colby and his crew are there. He makes that stand and I go every morning!

Every experience I've had at this has been excellent. The staff are always genuinely courteous, friendly, and welcoming. My Mexican Mocha is always made to perfection & I'm absolutely loving the Bluebonnet Rizer flavor.
